Shipping & Returns

How we pack, dispatch and deliver your VALOUR order. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Where we ship
- Australia-wide — our primary service.
- International — not yet available; we ship within Australia at launch. International shipping is coming once our carriers confirm fragrance transport routes.
2. Processing & dispatch
- Orders are usually packed and dispatched within 1–3 business days.
- Orders are processed Monday–Friday, excluding NSW public holidays.
- You'll get a confirmation email when you order and a dispatch email (with tracking, where available) when it ships. Under our Terms, the contract forms when we dispatch the goods.
3. Delivery times (estimate only)
- Sydney / NSW metro — 2–5 business days after dispatch
- Other Australian metro — 3–7 business days after dispatch
- Regional / remote Australia — 5–10+ business days after dispatch
These are carrier estimates, not guarantees. Delays can happen during peak periods or due to events beyond our control (see Terms, Force majeure).
4. Shipping cost
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on destination and order size.
5. Carriers & packaging
- We ship with Australia Post and/or a courier suited to perfume.
- Perfume is glass — we pack to protect against breakage and leakage. If anything arrives damaged or leaking, see our Returns & Refunds Policy and contact us within 7 days with photos.
6. Perfume shipping restrictions (important)
VALOUR perfume is alcohol-based. For transport our finished bottles are classified UN 3082, Class 9 (PG III) — not a Class 3 flammable liquid (flash points are all above 60 °C). Because each retail bottle is 30 mL or 50 mL, a normal retail parcel falls under the 5 L inner-packaging exemption and is generally not regulated as dangerous goods.
However, carrier policies still apply:
- Some carriers restrict perfume on air and international routes.
- We ship by methods that comply with the current carrier rules for your destination, which is why some lanes (especially international/air) may be unavailable or slower.
7. Risk & title
- Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
- Title passes once we've received full payment.
8. Address accuracy & failed delivery
Please enter your address carefully. We're not responsible for delays or loss caused by an incorrect address you provided. If a parcel is returned to us as undeliverable, we'll contact you to arrange re-delivery (additional postage may apply).
9. Lost or delayed parcels
If tracking stalls or your parcel seems lost, contact orders@valour-store.com and we'll open an enquiry with the carrier. We'll work with you to resolve it, consistent with your ACL rights.

Returns & Refunds

This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. It explains when you can return a VALOUR perfume and how refunds work. It sits alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) — nothing here limits those rights.
1. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our products come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded. If a product has a major failure (for example it's unsafe, significantly different from its description, or wouldn't have been bought by a reasonable person aware of the problem) you can choose a refund or replacement, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss.
For a minor failure that can be fixed, we may choose to repair, replace or refund. These rights apply regardless of anything else in this policy.
2. Change of mind — perfume hygiene rule
Perfume is an intimate, hygiene-sensitive cosmetic. For change-of-mind returns (you simply changed your mind, ordered the wrong scent, or didn't like the fragrance) we can only accept the item if it is:
- Unused, unopened and still in its original sealed packaging, with any shrink-wrap/cellophane intact, and
- returned within 14 days of delivery.
Once the seal is broken or the bottle has been sprayed, we cannot accept a change-of-mind return for health and safety reasons. This does not affect your ACL rights for a faulty product.
Fragrance is a personal experience and scent perception varies between people — "I didn't love the smell" is change of mind, not a fault.
3. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
If your order arrives damaged, leaking, faulty, or is the wrong item, contact us within 7 days of delivery at contact@valour-store.com with:
- your order number,
- a short description of the problem, and
- photos of the item and packaging (this helps us fix it fast and improve our packing).
We'll arrange a replacement or refund and cover return postage for genuine faults. Don't throw the item away until we've sorted it, as we may need it back or need more photos.
4. How to start a return
1. Email contact@valour-store.com (or orders@valour-store.com) with your order number and reason.
2. We'll confirm whether the item qualifies and send return instructions and the return address.
3. Pack the item securely (perfume is glass — wrap well). For change-of-mind returns you pay return postage; for faults we cover it.
4. We recommend a tracked service — until it reaches us the item is your responsibility.
Please don't send anything back before contacting us — unannounced returns can't be processed quickly.
5. Refunds
- Approved refunds are made to your original payment method.
- We aim to process within 5 business days of receiving and inspecting the return (or of agreeing a refund for a fault). Your bank/card provider may take additional days to show it.
- Original shipping is refunded where the return is due to our error or a fault; for change-of-mind, original shipping is non-refundable.
6. Sale items & gifts
Sale items are covered by the same ACL guarantees. Gift recipients are entitled to a remedy for a faulty item; we may issue a replacement or store credit.
7. Non-returnable
Other than for a fault, we can't accept returns of opened or used perfume, or items returned outside the 14-day change-of-mind window. This does not limit your ACL rights.
